Examination Policy - CLASSES I TO II

- Promotion is given on the basis of continuous & comprehensive assessment (CCE) of child's personality, physical & emotional development, academic performance & participation in school activities under the umbrella of the following developmental domains:
- Physical and motor development
- Socio-emotional-ethical development
- Cognitive development (including numeracy) (EVS, Mathematics, Computational thinking)
- Language and literacy development (English and Hindi)
- Aesthetic and cultural development (visual & performing arts including Art, Craft, Music, Dance, Theatre)
- Non-Pen and Paper Informal Assessments (NPAP), emphasizing Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). Students' abilities are evaluated through a range of activities, projects, and daily class performances, focusing on skills such as LSR (Listening, Speaking, Reading), verbal reasoning, and critical thinking.
- Pen and Paper Formal Assessments (PAP), providing structured evaluations.
- FA-1, FA-2, FA-3, and FA-4, all conducted as pen and paper assessments.
- Each test has a duration of 30 minutes, following the normal timetable for that day.
- Students will not receive numerical marks or grades, instead they will be given the learning indicators.
- No Retest will be conducted for the students.
- Date sheets and syllabi for the Formal Assessments will be shared well in advance to facilitate preparation.
- The evaluation scale followed is described in the table given below:
- The Holistic Progress Card for classes I & II is published twice in a year.
No formal test /examination are conducted for Classes I and II.
• The assessment structure is focused on class activities throughout the year mapped with the competencies from NCF_SE 2023.
• There is no summative assessment (No PT/ HY/ Annual) for classes I and II.
• Parent observation, self-assessment and peer assessment are included in the Holistic Progress Card in order to ensure 360֯ evaluation and to provide a holistic view of the progress of the child.
• The academic session is divided into two terms – TERM 1 and TERM. To ensure the comprehensive development of our students, we employ two types of assessments:
